Families come in all shapes and sizes, and parents seeking housing assistance often face the difficult decision whether or not to split up the family in order to stay in female or male-only residential programs. At Metro Ministries, we believe that families should live in a neighborhood, under their own roof, and, when possible, be within walking distance to local schools.
The Family Housing Funding supported by the Legamaro Family Foundation makes housing in neighborhoods possible. Currently, several families are receiving rent and utility payments from the Foundation and are well on their way to long-term housing stability.

Housing has long been a passion of the Legamaro Family, and when they saw so few residential programs were available to families and single parents with boys over age 13, they saw an opportunity to match their passion.
