Your church can be part of the mission of Corpus Christi Metro Ministries by becoming a member of our Family of Congregations and/or Community Kitchen Collaboration. The CCMM Board of Directors adopted the following definitions on how to become a Member.


A Member Congregation:

  • Contributes finances, goods, or volunteer hours valued at $100 or more annually;
  • Encourages its members to volunteer in the various ways Metro Ministries serves its clients and the organization as a whole;
  • Promises to include Metro Ministries in prayers during worship on a regular basis, and in other venues as appropriate;
  • Actively participates in and sends delegates to the Assemblies of Member Congregations;
  • Publicizes and promotes fundraising and other activities of Metro Ministries, and will provide a link to Metro Ministries on their website if appropriate, and;
  • Lists Corpus Christi Metro Ministries as a line item in their annual budget if allowable

 

Member Congregations are recognized annually and receive a Metro Ministries’ logo for use on select promotional materials.

Join our Community Kitchen Collaboration

Community Kitchen Collaboration is an opportunity for Metro Ministries to work with church groups by allowing them to utilize our facilities to provide nutritious meals in a safe and clean environment for diners.  Church groups are welcomed and encouraged to minister to the diners with praise and worship services and music.


Volunteers will be responsible for:

  • All Volunteers over the age of 18
  • Providing Food Health Permits for volunteers working in the kitchen and /or the serving line (including dish washer)
  • Food and ingredients that are to be prepared and/or served
  • Prepping, cooking, serving, dishwashing, and cleaning kitchen, dining hall and restrooms after each meal.
